Each ACTED employee will adhere to these principles through key green programming responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Contribute towards the adherence and development of the greening strategy plan.<br \/>\nExplore innovative green programming opportunities and\/or solutions within your realm of responsibilities and roles.<br \/>\nEncouraging and promoting environmental safeguarding processes and environmental programming standards in accordance with SOPs and technical guideline notes.<br \/>\n<strong>ACTED PSEAH Policy:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(WASH Project Assistant) has the responsibility to adhere to the PSEAH Policy (Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment). The (WASH Project Assistant) has the obligation to complete all mandatory trainings related to the Code of Conduct and the PSEA policy and report any safeguarding concern such as breaches of organisational policies or codes of conduct according to ACTED\u2019s procedures. The (WASH Project Assistant) carries out work duties in a way that does not harm children, vulnerable adults or other staff or volunteers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the authority of supervising ACTED staff the WASH Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of all technical programs\/interventions undertaken by ACTED or sub-contracted, matching with ACTED\u2019s quality criteria and strategy related to small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurial activities.<\/p>\n<p>He\/She is fully responsible of the activities decided by the supervisor in terms of quality, respect of the targets and deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports the implementing of WASH activities.<\/li>\n<li>Participates to elaborate deliverables to specification and within timeline.<\/li>\n<li>Provide required information to relevant parties as dictated by superiors.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in identifying best practices and lessons learned.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up field work and ensure that all works are properly executed.<\/li>\n<li>Participate to and support general and technical assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Report on the work, the advancement of the activities and the possible difficulties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The WASH Project Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:<\/p>\n<p>1- Technical Tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with the local authorities to understand the water systems within the targeted area where implementation of the WASH aspects of projects will be conducted.<\/li>\n<li>Has a clear understanding of WASH methodologies regarding emergency water trucking.<\/li>\n<li>Participates to and support technical assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible of water quality monitoring in term of standards, at different levels (source, truck, HHs).<\/li>\n<li>Supports the Project Officer on the activity\u2019s implementations and field visits.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising field workers and ensuring the progress of work.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up and filling out all documents.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing attendance sheets for all workers and coordinating with the human resources department and the information management department to ensure the monthly cycles of workers and distribute contracts for all workers.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting training for field workers and observers.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting digital maps related to work and activities areas.<\/li>\n<li>Water Trucking and monitoring: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of water supply and distribution in the targeted settlements.<\/li>\n<li>Generate regular reports on water usage and identify any gaps or issues that require attention.<\/li>\n<li>WASH facilities: Coordinate and oversee the distribution of essential WASH materials to settlements, ensuring that they are distributed according to the Sphere and other relevant standards. Assist in the procurement and transportation of materials as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Installation and maintenance support: Provide guidance and assistance for the installation of WASH facilities, operation, and maintenance of WASH facilities. Organize training sessions and workshops as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Hygiene promotion: Design, plan, and follow up on hygiene promotion activities and Conduct hygiene awareness sessions for beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting regular technical assessment for the trucks used by the contractor for water supply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2-\u00a0 Stakeholder Engagement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective implementation of WASH projects. Attend meetings and workshops as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3- Monitoring and Evaluation:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for WASH projects.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any areas of improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Support the Implementation of PDM survey (Post Distribution Monitoring) for items distributed as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4- Reporting and documentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare regular progress reports (Weekly\/Bi-weekly\/monthly) and other documentation as required by the line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Collect photos, documents, and information on program implementation and ensure that donor visibility is respected.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping up the soft and hard copies of activity-related documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5-\u00a0Administration and other tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain an efficient, organized system of paperwork and reporting for fieldwork.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely departure and return from the field: this includes going to the field with all necessary documents and materials to complete a successful workday.<\/li>\n<li>To perform other duties as requested by the project and country management team.<\/li>\n<li>Respect and follow ACTED\u2019s code of conduct.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6- Other Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager or Project Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Example, the key performance indicator (KPI) is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. Organizations use KPIs to evaluate their success at reaching targets.<\/p>\n<p>% Success rate of service delivery.<br \/>\n% Of activities completion in a timely manner.<br \/>\n% Of work reports submitted in a timely manner.<br \/>\n% Of follow-up activity implement in a timely manner.<br \/>\n% Success rate of conducting clear BOQs and assessments.<br \/>\n% Of uploaded and archived relevant documents.<br \/>\n% Of tasks achieved.<br \/>\n<strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in a relevant field (e.g., civil engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline).<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Turkish and Arabic.
