In this way, we empower communities to find, design and implement the solutions that work best for them.<\/p>\n<p>RI includes the four corporate members of the RI Alliance: RI-US, RI-UK, MRCA\/RI-France and RI-Europe.\u00a0 Under our alliance agreement, we operate as a single, shared management structure.<\/p>\n<p>RI is active in 16 countries around the world, including some of the most fragile: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, T\u00fcrkiye, and Yemen.\u00a0 Often, RI is the only organization providing assistance to highly vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n<p>RI employs 7,000+ staff and auxiliary workers<\/p>\n<p>97% of staff are local nationals<\/p>\n<p>We only have some 90 ex-pat staff out of 7,000+<\/p>\n<p>RI spent $150 million in 2019 on our programs<\/p>\n<p>Often, RI is the only organization providing assistance to highly vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n<p>RI invests in four broad program sectors:\u00a0 Economic Opportunity, Education, Health, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.\u00a0 We design our programs to incorporate The RI Way:\u00a0 local participation, integrated programming, the development of civic skills, and complementary partnerships including with local NGOs, governments, and the private sector. \u00a0RI supports solutions that reinforce and improve upon existing in-country systems. Where such systems do not exist or are chronically underperforming, RI\u2019s crisis response lays the foundation for long-term, sustainable change.<\/p>\n<p>Middle East Region<\/p>\n<p>RI in the Middle East has programs in six countries &#8211; Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, T\u00fcrkiye and Yemen, with a focus on the 4 main RI sectors: Health, WASH, Education and Economic Opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Relief International currently employs 3900 staff (direct and indirect) in the region and has a range of emergency response and development programs valued at 70 million USD on an annual basis<\/p>\n<p>Position Summary<\/p>\n<p>The Accountability Coordinator will provide technical expertise and leadership to implement and support RI&#8217;s Accountability Framework:\u00a0 Complaints and Feedback Response Mechanisms (CFRM) and community engagement. The Accountability Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that RI T\u00fcrkiye programs in the whole phases (design, plan, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation) are accountable to the affected communities served by the programs, stakeholders engaged in the programs, and donors who fund the programs. S\/he is responsible to engage community in RI projects and their voice will be heard. The Accountability manger will be strongly engaged in supporting partners in capacity building efforts related to CFRM and may ensure that principles of Accountability, Gender Equity and Social Inclusion are mainstreamed in RI projects.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n<p>Contribute to RI guide:<\/p>\n<p>Review, revise, and improve existing policies linked to the accountability framework.<br \/>\nEnsure that all accountability policies and processes are adequately disseminated to all staff and partners.<br \/>\nCoordinating with Senior Management and Incidence management Team, work to establish and\/or strengthen investigation protocols, including clear case handling responsibilities.<br \/>\nSupport planning, budgeting, implementing, and reporting on accountability activities.<br \/>\nManage CFRM system:<\/p>\n<p>Receive feedback regularly from the affected communities, implementing partners, field offices, field officers, and various channels (feedback boxes, WhatsApp, email\/phone hotline, help desks, etc.) and enter data promptly into the central CFRM database.<br \/>\nMaintain and update the CFRM database, tracking all feedback and complaints from point of receipt through to closure.<br \/>\nProcess all feedback\/complaints and follow up with relevant departmental focal persons to properly address beneficiary complaints and feedback.<br \/>\nEnsure that complaints are systematically responded to, explaining the actions\/decisions to resolve issues are communicated back to the individual\/community who raised them.<br \/>\nTake appropriate measures to ensure safety and protection of survivors, feedback submitters, and subject of complaints.<br \/>\nAnalyse information collected on risk factors and make recommendations to Senior Management and Projects Managers on how to enhance prevention strategies to mitigate risks.<br \/>\nProvide the management with reports on the status of the feedback system, caseload, and recommendations.<br \/>\nCommunity Engagement:<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy that aligns with RI guide.<br \/>\nMap existing community engaged in the RI projects and work with Project Managers and MEAL to mainstream accountability messaging and gather community input where appropriate.<br \/>\nEstablishes good relations with the populations and partners of RI by making periodic visits to the areas concerned in compliance with established operational procedures.<br \/>\nEnsure meaningful and participatory involvement of affected populations and communities throughout the project cycle (design, plan, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation) and in relation to other RI documents and practices based on need.<br \/>\nEnsure that the community engagement channels are inclusive (developing mixed-methods, tools, and approaches), enabling all community members to use the accountability system.<br \/>\nBased on the RI guide, utilize the best communication approaches to provide communities with relevant information and response to their feedback and complaints.<br \/>\nContribute to Developing Age, Gender and Diversity informed awareness-raising tools with emphasis on rights of RI clients and stakeholders.<br \/>\nIn close collaboration with the project teams, ensures that the RI\u2019s activities in the field are fully understood by the populations<br \/>\nSupport designing new projects by sharing the requirements raised by the served communities and stakeholders.<br \/>\nCapacity building:<\/p>\n<p>Provide Community Engagement and CFRM training and capacity building exercises for RI staff and Implementing Partners.<br \/>\nSupporting the development of training materials.<br \/>\nEvaluate partner\u2019s capacity on the accountability angle, and Work with partners to develop a capacity building plan.<br \/>\nSafeguarding<\/p>\n<p>Uphold and promote RI\u2019s commitment to ensuring the safeguarding and safety of the vulnerable communities we serve.<br \/>\nConsistent with RI\u2019s safeguarding and protection policies, ensure your job related activity and practice is compliant with safeguarding standards.<br \/>\nExperience and skills required for the role<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in international development, Social Sciences, or a related field.<br \/>\nProven experience in community engagement, accountability, or related roles in humanitarian or development contexts.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of humanitarian principles, international standards, and best practices in community engagement and accountability to affected populations.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of the T\u00fcrkiye context.<br \/>\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse organizations.<br \/>\nExperience in designing, implementing, and evaluating feedback and accountability mechanisms, and complaint handling.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with cultural sensitivity, gender equality, and inclusion principles in community engagement approaches.<br \/>\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues.<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful environment.<br \/>\nExcellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.<br \/>\nExcellent analytical and organizational skills.<br \/>\nMust be capable of
