\ndistress. A registered non-profit in the US, UK, France and Belgium, our work targets those fragile countries
\nor communities that suffer from recurrent man-made or natural crises that impede human development. The
\npeople that we serve live in seventeen countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia where the
\ndebilitating effects of political instability, forced displacement, and natural disasters are pervasive. Often,
\nRI is the only organization providing healthcare, education, logistics, energy, capacity building, economic
\ndevelopment, sanitation, and many other forms of assistance to these highly vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n
Position Summary:
\nThe Project Manager will manage all aspects of the assigned project in collaboration with the Programs
\nManager and partner organizations. S\/he develops, leads, monitors, and evaluates the assigned project. The
\nrole requires active engagement with local partners who support implementing the project activities. S\/he
\nis responsible for ensuring that projects are implemented in compliance with contractually agreed targets,
\nscope, durations, budgets, and donor compliance obligations. Where there are significant challenges to
\nimplementation or there is a need for modifications, s\/he is required to raise the issue to the Programs
\nManager.<\/p>\n
Position Responsibilities and Duties:<\/p>\n
Project Management<\/p>\n
Under the supervision of the Programs Manager, provide planning, programmatic and technical support to the assigned project.
\nEnsure activities align with the approved project proposal, budget, and implementation plan.
\nCommunicate issues\/problems in advance to the Programs Manager and prepare course corrections as needed.
\nProvide leadership for the assigned project, ensuring short- and long-term impacts and outcomes are successfully achieved and positively impact the beneficiaries, local authorities, and local partners.
\nContinuous supervision and monitoring of project activities, regularly evaluating the progress of the outputs and targets (through on-track\/off-track assessments) and developing corrective actions in coordination with the Programs Manager to mitigate any delay in implementation.
\nRaising procurement requests (PRs) based on project procurement plan\/spend down plan and coordinating with the finance and operations department to ensure procurement is received in a timely manner.
\nUnder the guidance of the Programs Manager, work constructively with support teams to ensure sound administrative practices regarding record-keeping and communication and ensure programs are implemented in compliance with donor requirements through the project lifecycle.
\nIn collaboration with the Programs Manager and the Grants Unit, support the organization of program kick-off meetings, grant review meetings, and grant closeout meetings.
\nDraft technical donor narrative reports and other internal program reports and submit them to the Programs Manager for review.
\nPerform other tasks and duties as requested by the Programs Manager.<\/p>\n
Financial management<\/p>\n
Manage the budget for the assigned project, ensure all expenses are according to budget and meet RI and donor financial management and accountability standards.
\nHold monthly Budget Versus Actual (BVA) meetings with the Programs Manager and finance manager to review spending and suggest course correction in the event of major underspending or overspending.<\/p>\n
Partnership management<\/p>\n
Work closely with RI\u2019s partners to achieve agreed targets and activities and build and maintain a healthy relationship with them,
\nIn coordination with the Programs Manager and Operations Manager, conduct regular follow-ups with the implementing partners to ensure the timely implementation of the distribution plans and donor compliance and, where needed, provide capacity support.
\nConduct weekly and monthly review meetings with partners and provide guidance to them as needed.
\nEnsure partner quality of the program through compliance and adherence to RI, donor, national policies, procedures, guidelines, and internationally recognized standards.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and evaluation<\/p>\n
Support developing and implementing an effective monitoring and evaluation framework for the project based on RI and donor\u2019s results framework.
\nMonitor partners\u2019 achievement vs. targets and raise concerns to the Programs Manager and partners.
\nSupport M&E and Technical units in the organization and implementation of the project\u2019s impact evaluation and assessments
\nContribute and support RI\u2019s knowledge management efforts by collating lessons learned and best practices and disseminating them to the team and partners.
\nEnsures that appropriate pathways and processes are implemented to comply with the accountability of affected populations principles.<\/p>\n
Communication and Coordination<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain regular and transparent supportive communication structures.
\nCoordinate with Program staff from other projects and technical units to ensure RI\u2019s approach is streamlined across projects.
\nParticipate in internal and external coordination meetings, as requested by the Programs Manager
\nLiaise and coordinate with implementing partners and relevant stakeholders to ensure quality and timely implementation of the project.<\/p>\n
Program development<\/p>\n
Work with the Programs Manager and the Grants Manager on program development, including proposals, concept notes, modification requests, etc.
\nLiaise with partners and relevant stakeholders in developing and reviewing project proposals and modifications.
\nContribute to the identification and development of new ideas for potential proposals.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & requirements:<\/p>\n
A university degree in health, physical rehabilitation, social sciences, social work, or a relevant field is mandatory; a master\u2019s degree is preferred.
\nMinimum three years of experience in project management.
\nExperience in managing projects in health (physical rehabilitation, and mental health) and protection.
\nDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of current issues and operating context in T\u00fcrkiye, both in refugees\u2019 response and disaster response.
\nKnowledge and familiarity with donor regulations such as ECHO, BPRM, BHA, and UN agencies.
\nFluency in English and Turkish; Arabic is an advantage.
\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
\nExcellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail
\nExcellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
\nExcellent interpersonal skills, including patience and diplomacy.
\nMust be capable of working both individually and as part of a team.<\/p>\n
