ABOUT Relief International<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nsector. RI supports solutions that reinforce and improve upon existing in-country
\nsystems. Where such systems do not exist or are chronically underperforming, RI\u2019s
\ncrisis response lays the foundation for long-term, sustainable change.<\/p>\n

Middle East Region<\/em><\/p>\n

RI in the Middle East has programs in six countries – Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria,
\nTurkey and Yemen, with a focus on the 4 main RI sectors: Health, WASH, Education
\nand Economic Opportunity.<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

Refugees in T\u00fcrkiye face economic hardships due to limited access to livelihood
\nopportunities and the impact of inflat ion. According to RI’s recent survey, 70% of
\nrespondents reported working informally, while 62% were engaged as casual workers.
\nThe average household income was approximately USD $200. In order to gain a
\ndeeper understanding of market needs, the appropriateness of livelihood methods
\nwithin the Turkish context, RI plans to conduct a pilot livelihood project, specifically
\ntargeting women with disabilit ies and\/or from vulnerable communities who have limited
\naccess to employment opportunities. Through the pilot livelihood init iative, t he
\ntargeted participants will received training in marketable skills and business planning,
\nalong with a supplementary seed grant to help them start their small or micro
\nenterprises. For this purpose, RI seeks qualif ied applicants for the posit ion of business
\ncoach. The business coach will work closely with the participants to provide support
\nand mentorship, helping women establish successful enterprises.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities and Duties.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Work with RI team on the design of the business development and capacity
\nbuilding plan for project participants with a focus on digital and financial literacy
\nand marketing (with more focus on digital market) .
\n2- Conduct coaching sessions for female entrepreneurs (five to seven sessions
\nduring the project cycle six months) to increase their skills and information in
\ndesigning and planning their own small business plan .
\n3- Support participants to expand their potent ial from vocational training (skills) to
\nbusiness model creation, and help them better understand and develop their
\nbusiness model.
\n4- Conduct a physical field visit to the workplace to assess each participant’s needs
\nin business planning and helping them identify the competitive advantage of their
\nbusinesses.
\n5- Follow up and support entrepreneurs during different stages of business
\ndevelopment until the final outcome of implementing their business plan.
\n6- Support the entrepreneurs during the process of registration (of fering guidance
\nin preparing the required paperwork and providing physical assistance during the
\nregistration processes) and regulat ing their business in Turkey.
\n7- Other related tasks that may from time to time<\/p>\n

\u2022 Inception report outlining the approach, work plan
\n\u2022 Coaching sessions worksheets.
\n\u2022 Business plan for each entrepreneur.
\n\u2022 Market analysis that demonstrates the market demands and justif ies the selection
\nof the established business and the capacity-building plan.
\n\u2022 Final report includes the business outcomes, lessons learned, good practices,
\nand recommendations.

Experience and skills required for the role<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, law, or related field.
\n\u2022 Demonstrated proficiency with Turkish government regulations for small
\nbusiness, and registration.
\n\u2022 Proven experience in working in business and developing business in Turkey.
\n\u2022 Experience and sensitivity in working with displaced persons and refugee
\ncommunities.
\n\u2022 Extensive experience in helping persons in developing their own business ideas,
\nplanning and implementation.
\n\u2022 Extensive experience in providing support and capacity building in term of
\nbusiness development , and registrations of business in Turkey.
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of the refugees\u2019 needs in the T\u00fcrkiye context.
\n\u2022 Fluency in Arabic is an essential criteria of this role
\n\u2022 Good level of written and spoken English\/ Turkish to conduct reports and plans.
\n\u2022 Excellent use of MS Office products including Word and Excel.
\n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal, communicat ion skills required, including pat ience,
\ndiplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues.
\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorit ies, deadlines, tasks efficiently in
\na fast-paced, stressful environment.
\n\u2022 Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to
\ndetail.<\/p>\n
