As a result, products with low embedded emissions will have a comparative advantage. Some CBAM-relevant Brazilian and Turkish companies are heavily reliant on EU-exports. This creates an incentive for them to invest into low-carbon production technologies and for their governments to introduce effective carbon-pricing that can be deducted from CBAM charges. The project strengthens the capacities of the public and private sector by providing know-how on the implementation of Emission Trading Systems (ETS), the decarbonization of industrial production and the provision of financial mechanisms for companies investing in low-carbon technologies. By sharing the knowledge generated through these efforts, the projects turn T\u00fcrkiye and Brazil into worldwide multiplicators on the interlinked issues of carbon pricing, industrial decarbonization and CBAM-readiness.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advising industry and state actors \/ regulators on content-related and conceptual issues of the Emission Trading System (ETS), Carbon Pricing, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical advice and (data) analyses for the sector, technical and capacity needs assessment with respect to data management, MRV systems and required reporting on ETS and CBAM<\/li>\n<li>Support technical coordination, networking, and exchange of all relevant stakeholders (Turkish steel and aluminium industry, associations, state institutions, ministries) and consortium partners in the planning and implementation of measures and facilitation of a multi-stakeholder partnership on ETS and CBAM in T\u00fcrkiye<\/li>\n<li>Set-up and oversee the project\u2019s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E) System and the collection and processing of relevant monitoring data of project activities and donor reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the contracting process for external consultants, including drafting terms of reference, selection, supervision, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with GIZ rules and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with political and implementation partners in a politically sensitive manner on requirement of the sector and build professional trusted relationship with industry and state actor by fostering dialogue formats<\/li>\n<li>Support in organising technical and high-level national events, peer exchanges, capacity development measures, and study trips and conduct regular business trips within T\u00fcrkiye and, where needed, e.g., Germany and provide technical expertise on ETS and carbon pricing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The brief profile is not intended to provide a full and complete description.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>B.
